How do I configure my site?
Site configuration can be done by Site Admins with Write access to the site.
Click on the Configure Sites page to do a discovery of BACnet devices on your network and create groups of their objects for your site.
Note: The first time the site is configured you will need to visit the BACnet Settings page. You can make changes to the page, if necessary, or confirm the settings by clicking Save.
Discovering Devices
Site discovery is done from the left side of the Configure Site page. Expand the devices to navigate down to the objects in the devices. Devices need to have been "discovered" before being able to add their objects to a group.
Creating Groups
- To create a quick group from a device, click on the device name and select Create Group from Device from the popup window. You have the option to rename your device, select a parent group, and/or choose a template to model your new group after. Your new group will contain all the objects in the device unless individual objects were checked under the device.
- An empty group can also be created under the Groups List by clicking Create Group. When you’ve selected objects from your devices, they can be added to a group by checking the box next to the group name and clicking Add to Group.
